This website is where you can plan and book all of your ferry crossings for your island-hopping holiday to Koh Chang and her neighboring islands of Koh Wai, Koh Mak, Koh Rayang, Koh Kham and Koh Kood. Connecting bus services between the Trat islands and Bangkok, Pattaya and Koh Samet are also bookable here, as is the cross-gulf trip between Pattaya and Hua Hin.

The ferry operators and their vessels and routes
We're able to offer you the services of all of the ferry companies operating between the islands and the mainland piers in Trat, at Laem Ngop and Laem Sok.

Boonsiri Catamaran
Run spacious, comfortable, and fast catamarans between the mainland and the islands of Koh Chang, Koh Mak and Koh Kood throughout the year but with a reduced service during the low season. In November 2018 they extended their routes to include a service between Koh Chang and Koh Kood via Koh Mak. They also run a bus service between Bangkok, Pattaya and Trat Airport and the ferry piers for the islands. In 2019 in partnership with Koh Kaew Pissadarn they introduced a service connecting Koh Samet with the Trat islands (catamaran + bus + catamaran).

Seudamgo
New for 2023, Seudamgo run a twice-daily service between Laem Sok and Koh Kood. They claim the fastest crossing time of 40 minutes with a modern smallish catamaran carrying a maximum of 84 passengers and it's scheduled to run throughout the year. Goes from Laem Sok to Koh Kood at 12:00 and 16:00, and returns from Koh Kood to Laem Sok at 10:00 and 13:30. The 16:00 transfer to Koh Kood is now by far the latest departure of the day and it opens up Koh Kood to passengers arriving into Bangkok on the same day, and to those taking a public bus from Bangkok in the morning.

Koh Kood Express Ferry
Koh Kood Express run a daily ferry boat between Trat and Koh Kood throughout the year, more expensive than the Princess at 500 baht for adults. Depart from Koh Kood at 10:00 and return from Laem Sok at 13:00.

Koh Kood Express Speedboat
They run a twice-daily speedboat service between Trat and Koh Kood throughout the high season for 600 baht per person. Their 15:00 boat to Koh Kood works well for the Bangkok Airways flight PG305 arriving at Trat at 12:40. New in 2022, they run a high-season speedboat between Koh Mak and Koh Kood, as well as a service between Koh Mak and Laem Sok (Trat).

Koh Kood Princess
Run a 3 deck, 33 meter, 300 passenger capacity fast ferry boat between the mainland and Koh Kood throughout the year. They currently offer the cheapest Koh Kood fare, at 350 baht pert adult, departing Koh Kood at 10:00 and returning from Laem Sok at 12:30.

Nor Nou (Kai Bae Hut) - Speedboat
Run a daily speedboat between the islands during the high season. Departing Koh Chang (Kai Bae) at 9:00am, calling at Koh Wai, Koh Mak and arriving at Koh Kood 2 hours after departure. The 2 hour trip back to Koh Chang departs Koh Kood at 11:00am.

Krungthep Limousine
Is the official designated transfer operator at Trat Airport. Minivans will pick you up from your Koh Chang hotel about 3.5 hours before your scheduled departure from Trat Airport, and for inbound to Koh Chang will meet you off your flight and have you at your island hotel as soon as 90 minutes later.

Bang Bao Boat - Wooden-boat
Run a daily wooden boat between the islands during the high season. Departs Koh Chang (Bang Bao) at 9am, calling at Koh Wai (9:30), Koh Mak (11:00) and Koh Kood (12:00. Makes the return trip at 13:00 calling at Koh Mak, Koh Wai, then arriving at Koh Chang by approximately 16:00. The cheapest inter-island boat.

Bang Bao Boat - Speedboat
Run twice-daily speedboats between the islands during the high season. Departing Koh Chang (Bang Bao) at 9:30am and noon, calling at Koh Wai, Koh Mak and arriving at Koh Kood 2 hours after departure. The 2 hour trip back to Koh Chang departs Koh Kood at 9:00am and noon.

Royal Passenger Liner
Run a daily catamaran crossing of the Gulf of Thailand between Hua Hin and Pattaya. Provides an alternative for the trip between Trat and the South of Thailand avoiding Bangkok. Departs Pattaya at 13:00 and returns from Hua Hin at 16:00, arriving Pattaya at 18:00.

Koh Keaw Pissadarn
Run the fast ferry between Ban Phe and Koh Samet on behalf of Boonsiri Catamaran who provide the through service between the Trat islands and Koh Samet.

KohMak Ferry Speedboat
Run twice-daily speedboats between the mainland and Koh Mak during the high season with a reduced low season service. If there are passengers for Koh Wai then a stop can be made there on one of the trips. 595 baht per adult. Little to choose between the 4 Koh Mak speedboat companies. Just choose your preferred departure time from the booking form and the appropriate service will come up.

Panan Speedboat
Run twice-daily speedboats between the mainland and Koh Mak during the high season with a reduced low season service. If there are passengers for Koh Wai then a stop can be made there on one of the trips. 595 baht per adult. Little to choose between the 4 Koh Mak speedboat companies. Just choose your preferred departure time from the booking form and the appropriate service will come up.

Leelawadee Speedboat
Run twice-daily speedboats between the mainland and Koh Mak during the high season with a reduced low season service. If there are passengers for Koh Wai then a stop can be made there on one of the trips. 595 baht per adult. Little to choose between the 4 Koh Mak speedboat companies. Just choose your preferred departure time from the booking form and the appropriate service will come up.

M Marine Koh Mak Speedboat
Run twice-daily speedboats between the mainland and Koh Mak during the high season with a reduced low season service. If there are passengers for Koh Wai then a stop can be made there on one of the trips. 595 baht per adult. M Marine also run an occasional speedboat between Koh Mak and Koh Kood, sometimes a late 2-way crossing starting from Koh Mak at 16:00hrs.
The islands and Trat
Here we give you some information relevant to your boat transfer - that is meeting and de-embarkation places, and availability of transfer between your hotel and the pier.
Koh Chang departures and arrivals
There are 2 departure and arrival points on Koh Chang - Bang Bao in the far south of the island, used by The Bang Bao Boat and Boonsiri, and Kai Bae in the middle of the west coast used by Nor Nou (Kai Bae Hut) Speedboat. All tickets include a free taxi service between these places and your resort on the west coast. Note, Koh Chang's east coast is not serviced by the free taxi. Pick up by taxi will be between 15 and 90 minutes prior to the boat departure time as shown on the timetables. Pick up time will be advised to you when we know where to pick you up from.
Trat departures and arrivals
There are 2 departure and arrival "towns" in Trat - Laem Sok about 30 kilometers from Trat city and Laem Ngop about 16 kilometers from Trat. Krom Luang Chum Porn pier in Laem Ngop is used by most of the speedboats serving Koh Mak. The Laem Sok piers serve all of the boats to Koh Kood as well as Boonsiri's and Suedamgo's service for Koh Mak. Transfer between anywhere and Laem Sok and Laem Ngop piers is not included.
Koh Mak departures and arrivals
There are 3 departure and arrival piers used by these boats: Makathanee Pier - Used by Leelawadee Speedboat and Nor Nou (Kai Bae Hut) Speedboat. Koh Mak Resort pier - used by Panan Speedboat and Bang Bao Boat. Ao Nid - used by Boonsiri Catamaran, KohMak Ferry and M Marine Speedboat. You need to arrange your transfer between pier and your resort with your resort - they should do this for free - ask us to arrange with them.
Koh Rayang and Koh Kham
As far as your booking goes, please use Koh Mak as your origin or destination island, telling us in the hotel field that you're staying on Koh Rayang or Koh Kham. Then if you're traveling by either the Bang Bao speedboat or the Nor Nou speedboat you can be dropped off at or picked up from either island. Traveling with any other boat, you should arrange with your resort on Koh Rayang or Koh Kham to provide you with the hop between Koh Mak and your island.
Koh Kood departures and arrivals
Speedboats - Many resorts have their own speedboat pier and in this is where you can be dropped off or picked up by speedboat. If your resort is inland or does not have a pier then ask your resort to provide the transfer to/from the pier - if in doubt ask us (but we should be making this clear when issuing your ticket). Away from Koh Kood - pick up from the pier will be at, or shortly after the scheduled departure time, but please be at the pier at the given departure time (your ticket with confirm this).
Ferries and Catamarans - these use Ao Salad in the north east of the island (actually opposite where most resorts are located). The ferry companies will provide a free taxi between this pier and your resort. Away from Koh Kood - pick up will be up to 1 hour prior to your boat's scheduled departure time (your ticket will give you this pick up time).
Koh Wai departures and arrivals
Speedboats - A few of the half-dozen or so resorts on the island have a pier to serve the speedboats. If you're on the Bang Bao wooden-boat then you'll be using the pier at Pakarang Resort and you should arrange travel between the resort and the pier through your resort.
Bangkok
The Boonsiri bus pick-up and drop-off place is Tanee Road near Kao San Road. Drop off at Lad Krabang airport link train station can also be arranged for passengers with a flight to catch from Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Pattaya
The Boonsiri bus will pick-up and drop-off at central Pattaya and Jomtien Beach hotels.
Koh Samet
The departure and arrival point for the Koh Kaew Pissadarn boat is Na Dan pier. Transfer between your resort and the pier is not included.
Hua Hin
The departure and arrival point for the Royal Passenger Liner is Khao Ta Kiab pier in Hua Hin. Shuttle connection with hotels is not included.
Trat Airport
Pick up is from inside the Airport terminal (a rep will meet you inside). Set down is at the entrance door. Trat Airport is very small and easy to navigate.
During your booking - how it works
Booking: On receipt of your booking we will review and if there are any uncertainties we will request clarification from you. If we have all the information necessary we will confirm the price and send you payment instructions. Payment can be made by Credit or Debit Card (with a 4% surcharge), domestic (Thai) bank transfer, or by Wise (TransferWise) for fast foreign bank transfer. Following receipt of your payment we will confirm your booking by sending you your boat ticket(s). With your ticket(s) you will have all pertinent information such as meeting place and time, and arrival information.
Cancellation: If you change your mind about your booking, even after payment, then you can cancel your trip (***exception follows) by letting us know at least 120 hours (5 days) before the scheduled pick-up time and your refund will then be 90% of the ticket value and this will be sent back to you. There will be no refund when notice of cancellation is received within 120 hours of the day/time of travel.
